"She told them that her father was not dead. She did that for three days, with the ministries calling on her, and the doctors trying to persuade her to let them dispose of the body". The words that leap out to me are dead, three, days, dispose, and body. This passage is important to the story because it really shows how much Emily's father meant to her. He meant so much that she was in denial that he ever died for three days and she wouldn't get rid of the body. This interested me because, it shows how much he meant to her. The poor woman is alone, and I think her keeping his dead body was only because after it was gone, she was alone.
